You are correct about the chip with 3 letter coming from the RENO CLUB my uncle was Charlie Benard he lived across the street from VIC MACEO & HIS partners were the two other guys on the chip .My Uncle passed away in oct. 1993 age 89 he started out bootleging whiskey in Port Arthur TX. in the 20's started small casino on out skirts of PORT ARTHUR he changed his name from BINAGIA to BENARD as not to be confused with his cousin CHARLES BINAGGIO a member of organized crime family in KANSAS CITY MISSOURI part of the 5 families in New YORK he sent
Canadian whiskey,scotch& other booze down to my uncle to BE sold on Galveston .If YOU GOOGLE CHARLES BINAGGIO you can see why my uncle did not want to be confused with his cousin he told he would rather be a little fish in a big pond than a big fish in a little pond ,he lived a long life moved off Galveston into a bay side community called BAYOU VISTA just across the causeway from Galveston I built a house and lived same little village with my uncle he ran gambling operations at Reno & had slot machines all over Galveston they were every where stores,barbershops restraunts,he would give owner of business part of winning simular to vending machines like pac man ect.. like you see in stores now. He retired but ran poker games from time to time high stake he told me he could count up to five deck of cards his mind was sharp as a tack he loved to take his little boat out an check his crab traps which were spread out in GALVESTON bay he was a gentleman and very respected I would visit and he would drink a few glasses of wine and he would tell me stories of Galveston in it's hey day he died in OCT. 1993 he was 89 and would have been 90 had he lived to his birth day in JANUARY of 1994 he was about 3 or 4 month shy of making 90 he had 4 brothers & 5 sisters
his brother PETE Binagia also had place in Galveston he ran a bar that my Uncle Charlie bought him,his other brothers my Dad Nick BINAGIA
passed in2006 he was 93 ,SAM Binagia passed in 2007 WAS 89 ,PAUL Binagia passed in 2012 at 92 he has one sister left she is 92 one sister lived to 3 weeks shy of 99 longevity and good genes in Binagia family all or most all of his siblings worked at refinery's in Port Arthur. i would love to buy some chips ,dice,or cards from RENO CLUB sincerly, Patrick Binagia
