Certainly seems as though you have had more than your share of bad luck So far I have had no problems with any packages, other than the 2 that I had go missing to the USA over the years and while I will no longer sell to those individuals (I didn't know either of them) I have continued with other buyers and fortunately no other problems.

Like you, most of my packages are low value (under $50 and often under $10) - so far I don't recall a single buyer ever asking for insurance and so have never had to add that cost to my shipping. If I did, then it would have to be reflected in the shipping costs.

For me, I guess I have just decided that the loss of business from not selling overseas would cost more than a rare chance of a missing chip, but I fully understand that may not be possible for everyone, especially where you have a high level of losses.
