The chip is not rare, but this chip in NEW condition, is quite rare. The chip clearly did not see table, some minor dirt or other was only here post-Castro usage.. Capri was one of the first casino to open in the late 40's to 50's wave of Lanski's casino and has the largest number of chips issued on different times and issues. So, the Capri chips were the most used in the casino during that time period.

BTW, the actor George Raft was the face of the Casino for quite some time.
