Verlie Doing, the previous owner, passed away Jan. 19, 2016. I always enjoyed talking to her husband,
Warren, at the old Sandy's Club across the hiway in the early '70s. He was a real character and once
gave me Boulder Club chip that he used for a drink token. Warren died many years ago and his picture
hung in the entrance of the club. Verlie was a good friend of Marion Young who also recently died. She
was married to Jim Young an old Fremont Street club owner who I previously wrote about.
