I have never read or seen advertising in old brochures and newspapers, etc. But, that certainly does not mean it did not happen.

I do know that they handed out low denomination "New" chips from some casinos in the airport which would force you to go to that particular casino and then spend a lot more! Those were mostly the Casino Night Clubs, rarely the Hotel casinos.

But, from tour operators...really do not know.
