Could it be possible that the second group of UC chips that showed up were actually legit? Do we know absolutely that they are
fake?

I don't know when the machine engraved chips came out… but in the 1930's they had the ability to produce them…
The 1.50 and 75 chips are crude... hand engraved with similar machine tools… why couldn't the machine engraved chips in question be lower quality chips made in a different way than the original hand cut ivory?

This was machine engraved with a template in the same time period. Not the same casino but same process.
