While looking through Rich Hanover's site I noticed a chip from BPOE 1454 with an old style elk. I always thought this elk was sort of 1890's, turn of the century. These inlays really don't hold up well and they discolor quite often. This chip is listed as made by Burt Co. My question is did Burt make chips before, at the same time and after USPC Co.? I'd say since USPC was printing company, it only makes sense that their inlays are much crisper. Do any Burt Co. records exist?
