I remember when all the hotels and small casinos had surface parking lots. In many cases it was just a
few steps to the casino. The Thunderbird was the best. They had an entrance on the north side that was
just a few feet from the parking lot. Same with the DI. I guess there were a few garages but it was too
much trouble to use them. No one remembers but there was a pay lot behind Little Caesars. It was kind
of a joke because you could just park in front. There were a lot of fun places on the strip then (60s-70s)
and they were all easy to get to. Pay parking was bound to happen. Soon most places will have it.
