If I remember correctly, Don Totoian was originally selling these chips for $125 each - regardless of denomination - or $400 for the uncirculated four-chip set. I bought a set. They hadn't been priced anywhere previously, so he set the initial numbers. They've dropped since then, of course, as most chips have, but at the time, when the chip market was stronger than it is now, the prices seemed reasonable.
