Not a Chinese new year chip but a nice one.
Paulson plain mold personal chip for a LV VP.

施理查 = Slack, Richard

Chinese names are written last name first, then first name. Each Chinese is one syllable when spoken.

In short, it’s a translation of the English Name “Rich Slack” into a Chinese name via phonetic transcription.

1)理查德 is typically the translation for “Richard,” but since he shortened it to “Rich,” then the Chinese is shortened to 理查 “Rich.”

理查 is pronounced “li cha.” It’s the closest you can get to Richard while sounding reasonable.

2) The last name “Slack” is different, there’s 2 syllables, so technically you’d need 2 characters to translate this into Chinese. However, a standard Chinese name is either 2 or 3 characters, so they just shortened his last name into one character, 施, pronounced “Shi.”
