Before it became Harvey's Inn and later the Lakeside Inn, in 1969 it was originally Caesars Inn, a smaller club with an attached motel. I've never seen a photo of the place except for this aerial survey photo, which depicts Caesars Inn at the center along the west side of U.S. Highway 50; the adjacent lighter-colored building just to the north of it, in past decades, housed the Sky Harbor airport & casino in the '40s and Fabulous Eddie's Stardust Club in the '50s.
Around 1972, Harvey Gross bought Caesars Inn and surrounding property, including the former Stardust Club, and expanded it into the larger Harvey's Inn.
Also in this aerial photo, immediately south of Caesars Inn in the tiny building along Highway 50, is The Riverboat Casino (which was formerly Musso's Bonanza Club and Hank's bar).
Memorabilia from Caesars Inn can be recognized by the soft, rounded lettering of its logo, as distinguished from Caesars Tahoe (which opened a decade later down the street), which had sharp, angular letters in its logo.
