You have a good point. The difference is that the chips in the picture are not that distorted as you can see by the surrounding objects.
But, the fact remains, we cannot fully get a picture of what is there, could not before and cannot now. Is too bad. The chips from that era, particulary if made in the old USSR, would probably be more interesting than the 50's Cuban chips, whiich although beautiful, are quite similar to the American chips of same period (all made in the USA).
