Fred, thanks for telling me your story.Lolo is still with us and still cuts hair, unbelievable but true, same shop in the plaza too.I heard years ago he used to take #'s for the horse races, shhhhh.I used to live in one of the Cubs cottages near the field. They were called the Las Casitas cottages. They were the Cubs housing till they stopped coming and then hotel rooms, then rented out to the towns people. The fishing was insane this year,Wahoo, Dorado,Tuna etc. and now Lobster season.I don't go out on the boats, but shore fish for lobster and Halibut, bass etc. The water was so warm the Swordfish were spotted up in Monterey County and a few Marlin have been caught. It is definitely a small town still only about 3,500 people maybe live here permanent and thousands of tourists for the summer. We better get some rain or we'll be in stage 3 water rationing, meaning 50 % cut back in usage and who knows about the tourist business? they say El Nino and were still waiting for the rain. We did build another desalination unit, enough for the winter but not enough for the summer crowd. Thanks again Fred, always nice to hear stories about Catalina,Torrey
