I assumed (from what little I have read) that it was closed when the Gaming Act (1968) kicked in but as it was open from 1969-73 that doesn't seem to be the case anyway. It supposedly closed when the casino part did so........
The chips are pre-decimal so must date from between 1969-71 although maybe used afterwards too.
I'll see what else I can find out from the son of the owner.
