The rooster was sold at this year’s Coeur d’Alene Art Auction at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino for $234,000, said Michael Scott, project manager for the auction. It was valued up to $300,000.
The rooster was among the 314 art pieces gathered from the around the country for the auction, which generated an estimated $30 million in revenues. That’s a jump from last year’s $29 million, Scott said.
