Here's another photo of the Main Entrance Casino (the canopy at least), seen in the shadows between Beecher's Nevada Club and Carl Tychsen's Stateline Market around 1940. In the background, left of the Stateline Market, is the Stateline Country Club. The Main Entrance Casino was down the alley between the Nevada Club and the Stateline Market, with a long canopy from its entrance up to the highway, so most photos of the place only show the canopy sticking out between the other clubs.
I have all the property records for this land from the Douglas County Recorder's Office. Originally all the land around the state line was owned by the Hill family, then sold to a number of other families. The Stateline Country Club, Stateline Market, Main Entrance Casino, Nevada Club, and the Nevada Drug Store (between the Nevada Club and the state line) were all on separate parcels of land, owned by various families, from the 1920s to the 1950s. By 1960, Bill Harrah bought all the land on the east side of Highway 50 at the state line.
