I agree with Dick - rent from whoever is cheapest AND you can pick up the car at the rental center. There are one or two places that are not located at the rental center and they typically have the very cheapest rates. But you have to take two busses to get there. Not worth the extra effort. Depending on what you really want you can normally rent the cheapest economy car and get upgraded. If there are only one or two of you and you don't have a huge amount of luggage an economy car can be good enough. What I do is make a reservation and then keep checking rates and rebook as needed. Last time I rebooked 5 times and saved over $100 on a one week rental.
