The reason you didn't find much as to sales on that MACON COUNTY $5 chip is that most of 'em were in storage for awhile and then purchased and put into play at the CENTRAL COAST CASINO of Paso Robles (now the Paso Robles Casino). By the time I found a them up there, they were mostly worn down. The casino cashier was a bit Cagey (pun intended!!!) about revealing that they were using them. I don't know what became of the Macon County Fives as the Paso Robles Casino now has its new Oakey-Dokey (more puns) $5 rack.
