Last year, near my home in Orange, CA, three girls were walking across a street, together, in a crosswalk and were hit and killed by a pickup truck that fled the scene. Witness stated that the girls were texting and laughing and did not look to see the truck coming.

Two of the girls were sisters and the only children of one family, and the other girl was a close friend. They were all 13 years old.

Please have your children carry a flashlight, hopefully be with an adult, and keep Halloween a happy one for all!.
