In the past I have purchased some books that were printed from the Oral History project from the University of Nevada Press. I recently went online and most of the collection is now digitized including some of the books that came out of the project. Books like Always Bet the Butcher - Warren Nelson (Club Cal-Neva Reno, Palace Club), Every Light was On - Story about the early day Harrah's Employees, Tap Dancing on Ice - Jack Douglas (Club Cal-Neva Reno), there are Oral Histories from Mead Dixon - Bill Harrah's Lawyer, Benny Binion - Binion's Horseshoe, Westerner, Dick Graves (Carson City Nugget, Sparks Nugget, Idaho gaming ventures) - I am reading this one right now. All the downloads are in PDF format. If you are into about some of the early gaming history - it's pretty cool. Here is the link.
