Ridiculous. While I am not a Las Vegas visitor, I travel to Los Angeles and Florida several times a year, and I always check resort fees and parking policies when booking my stay. So THIS visitor does check the rates.

On the other hand, I have heard enough discount airline flyers griping through a 3-hour flight about unexpected (i.e., last minute because they didn't do their proper research before booking) surcharges for baggage, seat selections, refreshments, etc., to know that the fees come with a substantial public relations cost that puts employees on the spot and all customers within earshot of the front-desk arguments.
