I see it burned down,read the article.I knew Hensel's hardware store burned down but didn't know Marino's burned too, or just forgot.I left that area in 2000 so I wasn't there but knew the owner of the hardware store.Both my kids, twin boys, were born in the Mad river hospital in Arcata.1990 and we went visiting in 2008 after they graduated high school and walked through the Plaza and Old Town Eureka and visited friends. Thanks for the article . I remember a disco ball on the ceiling and the velvet paintings of naked women on the walls too.Was definitely a different sort of place.
