It's been a few years of writing for the IOTD team, and I want to thank Gene for being the guy who keeps everyone motivated. I have so much info on illegals, but have a hard time finding the time to organize them in a proper write-up. Gene's mid-week emails saying, "Ed, you have anything for this week?" is just the kick in the pants to get things rolling.

What the reader probably doesn't know, almost every one of these stories comes from brand new research that begins with a newly found chip. I don't know how many of the previous 300 posts have started with Gene emailing me and saying, "Someone sent me this chip, see if you can put a club name to it."

From the most obscure information, these sometimes incredible stories emerge. Previously unknown names on chip orders blossom into life stories and unknown addresses become clubs with tales of gambling busts and shoot-outs. There are so many untold stories out there that every time I get a new ID I get excited about the possibilities of what might be uncovered.

It has been a fun ride and I look forward to many more.
