The Chip Board round robin package is currently with the last person I had on the list to send it to. I am considering the possibility of keeping it going to another person or 2 (not many more) if anyone else is interested. This has been a lot of fun so far and it seems like it has been going pretty well from what I can tell. If you would like to participate, please let me know ASAP. I do have final say on who participates and can pick and choose from whoever shows interest - my whole objective is to keep the round robin operating smoothly and only letting people participate who I know will follow the rules. Below is a copy of the original post and rules.
- All chips put into the round robin need to be in the same or better condition as the ones taken out. If you take a chip that's in uncirculated condition, an uncirculated chip needs to be put back in its place. If you take a chip that shows wear, a chip in the same or better condition needs to be put in its place.
- All exchanges need to be on a value for value trade - not a 1-1 or 2-2 etc...
- Poker chips are my number 1 collectible so if you are to take out any non casino chips (slot cards, cards, ash trays, matches, etc...) they can be replaced with casino chips as long as the value matches up or exceeds the items removed.
- Casino chips need to be replaced with casino chips but if you take any fantasy chips, samples, promo chips, etc... they can be exchanged with the same or with casino chips
- Since obsolete Nevada chips seem to be the most popular collectible they need to be replaced with other obsolete Nevada chips
- Values need to be fair. For example, if you take a chip worth $20 you need to replace it with a chip of equal rarity / value. Do not replace it with 3 or 4 common chips that you think equal the same price as a group.
- know the values of the chips you're taking. If you are unsure, look them up or ask other people to make sure you are giving fair compensation.
- You are responsible for all shipping costs and getting the package sent to the next participant as quickly as possible. We will be using a medium flat rate box and I believe it will be around $12-13 to ship. Every time the package is shipped a tracking number will need to be provided to me. I am unsure if tracking is included on the flat rate boxes but if it's not, it needs to be added.
- When you receive the box you are more than welcome to add more items to it as long as they will fit in the box. Please don't fill the box with ashtrays or anything like that - stick to smaller items like poker chips and the like. The more people that add extra to the box the more fun this will be for everybody!
- Not all of the chips that I have put into the round robin are in perfect condition. Some do show wear and I understand that some people wouldn't want these in their collections but someone might and that's why they are included. I have also added some better chips that have some kind of damage or imperfections that could work as fillers in a collection or may be good in a display frame since at least one side shows well - these are being shipped in a separate baggie so they are easily identifiable.
- Everyone needs to either take a picture or a scan of all the chips that they take and a picture of all the chips they replace them with. I was trying to avoid this but I heard from way to many people that ran these in the past and they say it is a must. The scans of chips taken and replaced need to be sent to me.
These should be the basic rules but I am able to change them at any time or add more rules as I see fit. Let’s make this round robin as fun as possible and make sure that we pay lots of attention to the condition of the chips that we are placing in it. Each person will send the package to the next person on the list. If you have any questions on the round robin or who to ship the package to, please let me know. Thanks a lot, Dan R-8220
