The shipping instructions say you have to deliver the parcel to a counter clerk at the post office, but they actually don't care if you put an international package into the mail box if it has electronic postage.

If you are using a separate green (or white) Customs form, you need to visit the counter.

If I were mailing a $400 chip, I would use the counter just to make sure it gets scanned in right away.
