Please warn family and friends about scams like this. In the age before personal computers, my mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease and died from it. When I was finally able to get control of my parent's finances, she had a 107 year subscription to "Good Housekeeping". Her credit card was on file and they would keep calling and add more years. It took a while to get the money back as the subscriptions were not from the magazine directly, but from those companies that sell renewals on behalf of the magazine.
