Recently I have been purging out some of my static chips from unwanted collections that have been sitting in boxed neglected for years. I posted some Cuban chips on eBay because frankly I have no idea what any of them are worth. The attached is a link to what I listed this week.
Most of the chips were identified using the Chipguide because I didn't know them myself. The below chip is listed as coming from the Copacabana in Havana, Cuba, in the guide.
The other day I received an email from a longtime Cuban collector saying:
"This is a rare chip from the "Colony Club Hotel & Casino" from the "Island of Youth" in Cuba. One of the Havana pristine hotel of Lansky's dream of resorts that never came through. Very few of these chips survived and are rare even for the hard Cuba collector."
So I added this in the description in the auction, but does anyone have any information about this chip? I don't want to be misleading but I really have NO IDEA.
