I didn't find any chips again today (no surprise) but did run into a few interesting pieces. The two gold pieces I got at a sale that was not on my list but just from a sign I saw on the street. I even had to ask if they had any jewelry and the lady hauled out a jewelry box with mainly earrings in it. She said they were $5 each so I was a little disappointed by the high prices. I saw a fancy jewelry box and looked closely at the angel and found it is market 41K. One good find. Then I looked closely at everything else without finding anything. The gold dragonfly looked too big to be gold but I just had to check because it looked real. At first glance I only saw the makers mark on one wing but looking real close revealed 14K on another wing. BINGO!! The small chain was wrapped around the dragonfly so I got it free and she threw in the angel also since it was so small *VBG* The gold is 8 grams and the silver around 1 1/2 ounces. And that blue topaz is real since I can see the odd shaped cut marks - definitely not just a cast glass stone. Too bad it is in a sterling ring. Anyway the gold and silver add up to about $215 - not bad for an $8 investment. The fun is in the hunt!!
