That's funny that I threw down a misheard lyric! I read it from some Book of Lists I got for Christmas years ago. The lyric I quoted was from a list of "Song Lyrics with an unnecessary preposition". It inspired me to come up with my favorite historical quote "...in the history of mankind's history." And NOWWWWWWW, I find out all these years I've been singing my all-time favorite artist's lyrics WRONG!! No wonder he's never invited me backstage to ANY of the four concerts I've seen him.
