My impression is also no… the questions were not probing enough and they let some of the candidates ramble on and on. In future debates they should start shutting microphones off.

In my mind, Fiorina was able to show who she is, and she’s impressive, if not a little wooden. Rubio also impressed me, as did (gulp) Christie. The polls I’ve seen all said that Trump won the debate, and I’m scratching my head over that. He fumbled constantly and he doesn’t have the knowledge base that some of the other candidates have. Carson, unfortunately, let Trump off the hook with his misinformation about vaccines. I thought he should have made an issue of that.

In my opinion, when they’ve narrowed the field to, say, 4 or 5 candidates, they need to have debates about specific subjects. The first should be about foreign policy, the second about the survival of our middle class.
