It’s time to re-order cardboard flips and I have a question about “large’ chips and octagon chips. I searched the archives and found a lot of discussion so I wondered if there have been any recent updates.
I’m looking for 2.5"x2.5" cardboard flip with a 2” (50 mm) window.
Octagon chips seem to be about 48mm corner to corner.
Anybody know where these might be available?
On an old Club Board FAQ I saw a note that mentioned:
For Bacarrat chips or other larger chips, you should order the 2.5"x2.5" flip with a 2” (50 mm) window.
The regular 2/12” cardboard flip has a 1.75” (45 mm) window which works great for most chips.
They are easy to find. But not the Big one. I have been Googling myself silly looking for the bigger ones.
The coin dealers aren’t very helpful about putting the window size in inches or mm because they just use the coin itself.
I guess “Large dollar” = Casino chip
• Large Dollar 38.5 mm = Large token or casino chip
• Half Dollar 30.6 mm= Small token
I have gotten the regular cardboard flips in the past from J P’s Corner and Hobbymaster. Neither of them seem to have the bigger window size though.
I’ve also picked up the regular ones from CT’s table at the shows but never gave much thought to the ‘big’ window flips.
Thanks!
