NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINES SUN DEC 2013
NANCY AND I BOOKED A CRUISE ON THE NORWEGIAN SUN IN OCTOBER OF 2013. IT WAS SO CHEAP WE JUST COULD NOT STAY AT HOME. ELEVEN DAYS FOR $379 + PORT CHARGES. THE CRUISE TOOK US TO SOUTH AMERICA AND BACK WITH SEVERAL PORT OF CALLS. TRANSLATED, SEVERAL HARVESTS ON ISLANDS THAT I HAD NEVER BEEN, NAMELY ARUBA AND CURACAO.
THE SUN HAD A NICE CASINO AND THERE WAS A POKER GAME EVERY NIGHT. I DID PRETTY WELL THE FIRST 4 OR 5 NIGHTS, BUT THE TRAVELING AND GOING ASHORE TO DO THE HARVESTS FINALLY TOOK ITS’ TOLL ON ME. AFTER LOSING BACK WHAT I WON EARLY IN THE TRIP I GAVE IT UP FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS OR SO.
I HARVESTED QUITE WELL IN ARUBA AND CURACAO, BROUGHT BACK SOME NEW ONES FROMTHE SEAPORT IN ARUBA, AT THE TIME I DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE NEW. ALSO IN ARUBA, WE WERE THERE ON SUNDAY AND THE H/D STORE WAS CLOSED, THAT WAS A DIS-APPOINTMENT. HAD A DAY SHIFTMANAGER GO INTO THE VAULT AT CURACAO PLAZA CASINO AND DIG OUT SOME OLD STUFF IN CURACAO, INCLUDING SOME SCROLL MOLDS.
ON THE SHIP I HARVESTED THE NORMAL STUFF, AND ON ST THOMAS I BROUGHT BACK SOME HARLEY DAVIDSON CHIPS, THEY WENT FAST. NOTHING NEW IN SAINT MAARTEN AND I DID NOT TRY TO GET ANYTHING CARTAGENA COLUMBIA, NOT ENOUGH TIME NOR OPPORTUNITY.
