...I would stay away from these "conversations" for many reasons, including the facts that the election is half a year away, and that you cannot have a coherent conversation with Mr. Pavlik (as has been clearly evident these past few days).
Mr. Pavlik has made slanderous remarks about me (at the convention) and libelous remarks here on The Chip Board, and I will deal with these issues elsewhere. The point of this post is to react to two particularly ludicrous remarks he made in his post above.
A few more dutys. Not just attending meets. Sorry I am not in show business . But had an important job in the office of emergency. Management. And communications in Chicago . I could handle the job of the clubs Vice President . Just run for office in the club and see who your friends really are. I am Not scared to stand up to these people. Thank you to the people who know me and support me. Thanks for the emails. My opponent has other people doing his dirty work trying to make me look bad. Take care and happy chipping. Remember this is a club and its supposed to be fun not viscous .
First, he claims that "I am Not scared to stand up to these people". In fact his campaign slogan in his last election for Club office was "not afraid to stand up", though he never provided any context meaning for it. At the convention, as several others have pointed out, Mr. Pavlik made remarks about me (that I did nothing as Club Vice President, that I was worthless, etc.) that are patently untrue and indefensible. I was alerted to this by many (probably 50 to 60) people with whom he had these conversations. When I confronted him about it face-to-face toward the end of the convention, he denied doing this, saying that he merely said that the Vice President position should have more duties. So, addressing the real world, Mr. Pavlik is ABSOLUTELY SCARED to stand up... he'll be more than happy to lie about anything rather than face a truth that doesn't coincide with his own reality he wants to put forth.
Now, as far as "my opponent has other people doing his dirty work trying to make me look bad", well, this is just garden variety paranoia. He mentions "clicks" and "the good old boys" and it appears that he thinks that the forces are aligned and out to get him. I assure you all that I have had no conversations in which I've tried to motivate anyone to "get" Mr. Pavlik or to make him look bad. To the contrary, I've just been sitting back and enjoying the implosion that was completely inevitable, and I'll continue to do so while Mr. Pavlik employs his shovel.
