If you collect Palms chips, promo chips, or samples, I'm betting you probably don't have these.

Only 20 sets of 7 were made. And they come with a good story.

A table games rating system was being touted to the Palms in May 2005. It was called Bally Mindplay.
They sent us some chips they were selling to use on the game, but told us the system would work with any and all the manufacturers chips made today.

I had GPI/Paulson run the below samples to test.

I also gave some of the chips they sent us to Dave Whalen. You younger guys won't know who he is. He had a bad habit of altering and or making collectors chips for a couple of our chip dealers. He was good at it!!!!
The Paulson chips checked out good on the Mindplay system.

Two days later the Whalen counterfeits came back and we could not tell the difference between the ones Mindplay sent and the ones Whalen made. I told the GM he made them in his bath tub.

That settled that, we would use the GPI chips. But before the deal closed we backed out.
