because there is a better level of confidence in dealing with club members versus non-members, in my opinion. I will sell to club members & non-club members alike -- but won't take a check from a non-member. I've been burnt on deals by both members & non-members, but there is some recourse through the club when dealing with a member that is not available when dealing with non-members. And there are contests & offers that many club members offer only to other club members simply because many have a stronger level of confidence in dealing with club members or it might be someone offering their own personal benefit to being a member OR it might be a way to maybe give someone a little nudge to join (or stay).
