Yes, I get the feeling that most users of this BB like it exactly as it is, and if the intention is to keep the mean age of users at over 60, then it’s fine the way it is.

But if the board wants to attract new younger users who have short attention spans (initially anyway), my opinion is that it needs to be updated over time.

The problem is how to attract new, younger users who do not appreciate the older BBS look of the board.

This is just my humble opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very appreciative of the board and what I get out of it. And because I like it so much, I just want to see it grow, evolve, and get better.

I haven’t ever run a forum so cost issues seem valid. Don’t know what to say to that, but maybe a younger crowd can better solve technology issues?
