I use version 10 which I've used for several years now and find nothing I later versions that I would want to use for my hobby. Scan directly into Photoshop, clean up and clip the chips or other items, and save for showing on-line.

If you buy latest version 13 from Adobe, it costs about $100. Version 10 is generally available on ebay for about $20. Make sure it is new and never registered. Here's a typical listing.
