i know i am going to regret putting in my two cents with andy and david being right there to give me what for but i disagree!

the hobby is not in as much trouble as the concept of joining the is! i agree now, somewhat belatedly i admit, that the MOGH offers a light at the end of our tunnel! each time i do an eBay auction more than half of the purchasers are folks i have never heard from before.

i believe they are new to collecting in some way and are the future in the hobby but not in our club which is a shame of the highest order!

several years ago we tried to recruit new members by offering them an entire collection of all the medals, tokens, chips, etc., that we make each year. we got a few new members but not enough to make it worthwhile to continue! it is my humble opinion that collecting casino memorabilia is alive and well, our club is just sputtering along!
