My husband spotted an old black & white photo on eBay. In the "background" was 2nd Street, in Las Vegas. There's not many photos of the side streets, so when we find one...I WANT IT!! Apparently no one else found it...or if they found it, they didn't want it. I got it for the opening bid . Happy day!!!

When it arrived, I couldn't wait to blow it up! And I found the Esquire Bar! Not a great photo of the Esquire, but the only one I've ever seen !!!!

TGT shows the Esquire from 1946-1948; Fullet+ shows an opening date of 1/23/48. So my first thought was that the photo was from the 1940's....until my husband said "no, there's a '55 Chevy". So I was a decade off...but still happy .

Tweaked...and other Esquire Stuff... . The ad is from 1949; Fuller+ mentions Walter South as one of the owners (shot glasses are too reflective to photograph well...sorry )
