I know the JT as Diaz Cigar Store which was at two locations in Oxnard around 1937. Joe Yabes was owner or manager. CashCoinConnection (Staeffler/Kallman) show the red chip but not a blue one. But it would make sense that they might play cards with a couple of different colored chips. Chips of a Large Crown and H & C molds and different JT script styles are are attributed to this same smokey hangout. All I've ever found in walking around Oxnard are a few cigar butts in the gutter.
