finish on most the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line chips sailing the seven seas. See this one below...same texture. I don't know if it has something to do with exposure to salt air or sea water....that's just a theory. And, when they used that mold, the inks were more vibrant and clear


If I am correct, I believe that is called a linen finish because of the weave.
