I missed out on the Ebay auction for a pair of loaded dice from the Suder Club. As some of you already know, I am working on a second edition of my book "Illegal Gambling Clubs of Toledo." I am looking to find the person who won the auction for these dice to acquire better scans of the dice for the new book.
In addition, I have created a traveling museum of memorabilia from the Toledo clubs, which I take with me and display as I do speaking engagements as well as periodic displays at local libraries. The entire collection will eventually be donated to the Toledo Historical Society Museum. If at all possible, I would like to purchase the Suder Club dice for the museum. Obviously, these dice have great historical significance, and belong in a museum.
Here is a link to the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Loaded-Vintage-Illegal-Suder-Club-Toledo-Cheater-Dice-From-The-30s-40s-/151749397778?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2354f80d12&nma=true&si=8BQgANXPL5p8BsL%252FKk%252FrZqfQ%252FG8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
The Ebay seller has politely refused to share any information on where he got the dice, who the buyer is, or for that matter, even any general information about loaded dice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
