has been gone for several years now , but I always hoped it would come back...guess that's not going to happen now.
A few of my Las Vegas Club memories....we spent our wedding night there . And I hit two royal flushes on our wedding day ! One before the wedding, and one after the wedding .
We had many delicious dinners in the Great Moments room, over the years, and never had to pay for any of them. (Hitting a royal flush got you a gold comp ticket when you hit it, and free rooms 4 times a year...and when you checked into those free rooms you got more comps...). And I hit a LOT of royal flushes at the Las Vegas Club .
The Las Vegas Club was the only place where I ever hit anything big enough to get a W-2G! It was on a 10-in nickel Joker's Wild progressive that was over $1300...I hit it about 1:00 a.m.
Once, playing deuces-wild VP my machine wasn't doing much...I stuck $5 in the next machine; after playing a couple of hands it threw me 5 bad cards. I drew 5 new cards...and it was a royal flush (no deuces!!!)! THAT'S the Las Vegas Club that I miss.
The last time we stayed there, a few years ago, it was bad. It was dirty, and I didn't even want to take my shoes off in the hotel room! I said I wouldn't stay there again, unless they remodeled. But, they still had some of the nickel progressive Video Poker machines that I like...and some of the old goldfish slot machines that I like. Funny...when we were there last year, they still had some video poker machines that spit out coins. I stuck a $20 in one, and said to my husband "this may be my last chance...!". I hit a 4 of a kind, and listened to the "clink-clink-clink" of the coins spitting out...and had to wait for a hopper fill! Then my hands got black, digging the coins out of the tray...
It will be funny, not having a Las Vegas Club on Fremont Street...I'll miss it.
