One of the most historic casinos in Las Vegas closes its doors tonight at 11:59 pm.
The new owners, who also own The D, said that they will NOT re-open it under the name "Las Vegas Club".
Until recent years, when it turned into a desolate dump, the Las Vegas Club had a rich and vibrant history.
Who can forget the "one armed bandits" that greeted gamblers, upon arrival. Or the wonderful chips the casino made over the years. Personally, I will never forget playing Triple Play Double-Double Bonus several years back, and drawing 4 aces and the kicker for a $1,500 score on a $3.75 play. I also will never forget catching a lobster in the crane game and having them grill it up for dinner. (hey, I was drinking)
Unlike when the Riviera closed, I'm surprised not more has been said on the Chipboard regarding the closing..maybe Pam G. can post some of her Las Vegas Club goodies?
