Not only was Harvey Gross in the phone book, but his house was in the parking lot of his Wagon Wheel Saloon (before the hotel tower was built in the '60s).


Counter-clockwise from bottom right: Harvey Gross's house in the parking lot of Harvey's Wagon Wheel; the original Harrah's Club next door along Stateline Avenue; across U.S. Highway 50 is the new Harrah's Stateline Country Club (with the South Shore Room under construction in back); in the bottom left is Harrah's North Lodge and swimming pool (the building was later moved to Kahle Drive in the '60s, where it is now the North Lodge Apartments). In the upper left is the Tahoe Flamingo Motel (across the state line in California), which later became Harrah's South Lodge (Frank Sinatra Jr. was kidnapped from there in the '60s).
