My son found this hard covered book in a thrift shop and bought it for me. I never knew it existed. As far as I can tell it had one printing 1953 and only issued in hard cover with no dust jacket.
What is so great about the book besides the stories since none are newer than 1953 are he glossy full page pictures and there are a lot of them. My book hapened to be signed by one of the people featured in the book Louigi Conihlio, a restaurant owner but I guess at the time famous in his own right. Not too many places existed back then and this book is great for the photos and the stories.
I am sure many of you know about this book and it is still available used on Amazon for about $20 shipped so it's not that rare or wanted for that matter. But as a collector of gambling items this book will stay in my collection. There were photos in here I have never seen before. Many were not your run of the mill photo shots of Las Vegas.

So if you never have seen this book and collect Las Vegas and like the lore as I do pick up the book.
