I don't have any problem with the "make offer" feature and like some of you guys have said, it's a good way to start a negotiation for a fair price. A few weeks ago I was offering on one chip, we negotiated a fair price through eBay mail, turns out the guy wanted to get rid of all of his chips, and I ended up getting a good deal on a few dozen Las Vegas Chips... So in that regard I like the feature... I don't like the auto reject. Even if you were just feeling out what something might be worth, it seems to me getting a dialog going with the buyer is helpful.... As a buyer of course I want to get the best price.... My collection is fairly small I'm sure to some of you guys that have been doing this awhile... I would just think if you offer within 5 bucks of your asking price and you get an auto reject.... What's the point in even doing a "make offer" why not just do a buy now, or auction with a reserve? As a buyer of course I want the best deal, however fair is fair....i want to be fair and if you look at my eBay feedback it's 99‰ chips.... Like someone mentioned, I'm sure that's why the one seller was willing to sell me his entire Vegas collection.... I guess it just seems like sort of a waste of time to me, to do a make offer and have your minimum so close to your asking price...
