Just curious, I've noticed on some auctions with a "best offer option" , I can put in an offer and seem to get an automatic response of "offer rejected"...... I've made a few offers within 5 to 10 dollars of the sellers asking price, and still get the seemingly auto response.

Since I am a buyer and have never sold on eBay, I'm guessing there's an automatic price range you can set an offer to accept.... Any other time I've made offers I've had to wait for a response... I guess what I'm asking is, why use the make an offer option if your going to automatically reject an offer say within 5 to 10 dollars of a $70 asking price..... That seems like more than a fair offer... Just looking for a little insight on this one since like I said, I'm not a seller..
