I rarely sell any of my Cuban extras.
But, recently decided to sell some cheaper ones to offer new Cuba collectors some not so rare chips, but cheap.
Sold them as Caribbean Cuba......
Yesterday posted one saying "Unique Cuba... " and within 15 minutes of the listing it disappeared and received a call from ebay. Stating that because of all the people challenging ebay with different interpretation of the embargo law, specifically "chippers", ebay decided to take a drastic but definite stand"
All articles that came from Cuba, whether they were made there or not, would be removed from ebay listing. The first time only a warning, the second time, based on their sole discretion, they could either remove them with a penalty or remove the seller from ebay completely. They will no longer discuss or respond to any challenges base on the Government embargo law, as this is now an ebay policy (law). Only thing allowed to be sold are papers letters or any type of written literature in few pages. No books, NO ART, none of the previous allowed items will be longer accepted.
I know many of us had problems in the past, nothing new, but we were allowed to challenge and frequently they would overturn their actions based on the facts that they themselves were not clear on the "laws". But, this is a little different and drastic.
SOOOOOO be very careful how you list or if you list any Cuban items, she specifically talked to me about chippers.
Good Luck
