Re: Those are all excellent examples of what SHOUL

Thanks for the kind words, Steve grin

Funny thing is, I read this thread yesterday...and was thinking about some of it on the way to the Blue Chip casino. I was thinking "I have at least a dozen casino T-shirts, and NONE of them came from casino gift shops". Then we got to the casino and...about 90% of the casino employees were wearing T-SHIRTS!!!!! I thought I should take a picture, but figured I could do that today. The T-shirts were commemorating 40 years of Boyd Gaming. Today, none of the employees were wearing the T-shirts sad , so no picture sad .

Personally, I have no problem with anything that has a casino name/logo being on the Chipguide. (Though I have to admit I was happy that the urinal strainer was denied admission!! vbg )

BUT...I do think that the quality of the image MUST be good! None of the photos I posted should be acceptable (quality-wise) for the MOGH. The aprons should be ironed, and the photos nicely cropped. Otherwise the site could start to get that "bargain-basement" look...and that would be a shame.

We may or may not ever have a brick and mortar clubhouse or museum, but with all of the collectibles that club members have, we can (and do) have an absolute killer virtual chip/gaming/casino museum. The bigger variety of items that we have, the more chances we have of getting more collectors interested. My husband and I got started by collecting casino ashtrays. I joined the club ONLY to get contact with other ashtray collectors...then we got a postcard, then we added a chip, then...well, you know grin . So if there's someone out there who collects baseball caps, and they google baseball caps, and they find the MOGH because there's a few casino-related baseball caps, we have a chance of getting that person interested in other casino collectibles that he didn't even know were out there...

Just my musings... grin
